Welcome to Fave Apps — a series on the AI utilities we actually run Pixelocity on. Not a listicle of fifty tools we tried once; just the handful we open every single day. It has to start with the one that builds everything else.
What it is
Claude Code is Anthropic's AI coding agent. You describe what you need in plain English — "build a landing page," "fix this tracking bug," "add a booking calendar" — and it reads the codebase, writes the code across as many files as it takes, runs the tests, and asks permission before it changes anything. It lives in the terminal and in editors like VS Code, with desktop, web, and mobile apps too.
Why it made the list
I'm not a traditional developer. Twenty-plus years in retail and digital marketing taught me to read and direct — not to write code from scratch. Claude Code closes that gap completely. I describe the business problem; it handles the engineering.
The proof is the site you're reading right now. Every page, every feature, every SEO improvement on pixelocity.com was shipped by Claude Code — and we log all of it publicly at /built-with-ai/. Same for LeadPixl, our lead-tracking system, and the rest of our internal tool suite.
How we use it at Pixelocity
- Client tools and automations — when the right software doesn't exist, we build it in days, not months
- Landing pages — from prompt to live, conversion-tracked page in an afternoon
- This website — features, fixes, and SEO work, shipped continuously
- Internal systems — our CRM, advisor platform, and client portal are all built in-house with it
Should you grab it?
If you're a business owner with a developer on staff, yes — plans start around $17–20/month for the Pro tier, with heavier-usage Max plans above that. If you're not technical at all, this is the one app on our list where the honest answer is: that's what you have us for. The "I wish we had a tool that…" conversation is exactly what Pixel – Apps exists for.
The bottom line: Claude Code turned a marketing agency into a software shop. Everything else in this series is a productivity boost; this one changed what we're able to sell.
